Estate Settlement

Our Family of Estate Planning Lawyers
Planning with You for Your Family’s Future

At death an individual's will must be probated, the assets collected, debts paid, various tax returns filed and distribution made to the beneficiaries as directed under the decedent's will. This process is what is commonly referred to as the probate process. Kentucky law makes estate settlement an efficient process. Because of these laws the delays in estate settlement that are common in many states are not a problem in Kentucky. Nonetheless, the event of death does necessitate a number of decisions being made and the transfer of assets pursuant to the individual's testamentary plan. Our firm prides itself on being efficient in handling the probate process, thus eliminating unnecessary delays in the process, as well as, providing these needed services at a fee that is reasonable in light of the time and difficulty involved in estate settlement.
